Westminster Film Festival (WFF) is London’s independent IMDb- and MUBI-qualifying film festival with a rich history. Originally established by the Westminster Film Society under the prestigious Westminster Film School, it served for many years as a flagship event on the student, local, and national film calendar.
Now operating as a standalone festival, WFF proudly marks its tenth anniversary edition, continuing to honour its founding spirit—bringing bold, original, and thought-provoking cinema to audiences in London and beyond. Open to filmmakers from around the world, the festival is curated and judged by a diverse panel of film academics, Westminster alumni, and both emerging and established industry professionals, including past BAFTA and Academy Award® (Oscar®) nominees and winners.
This year’s edition will showcase an eclectic mix of independent British and international films, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and cultural diversity. WFF champions world cinema, emerging film industries, female filmmakers, and underground storytelling—offering a vital platform for fresh cinematic voicesThe festival takes pride in delivering a high-quality cinema experience in one of London’s state-of-the-art venues. Beyond screenings, WFF provides valuable networking opportunities and a welcoming space for discussion (including Q&A's), discovery, and artistic growth.
